Towards the end of my time at CCAD, I was chosen to create the logo and marketing materials for our end of year degree shows, both in Hartlepool for our campus show and also for our London degree show. For this project I created two different logo variations; the first being the main logotype version and the second an emblem style logo variation more adaptable for social media icons. I also created a variety of posters and an invitation using the colours and overprint design style I had set in the original logo, focusing on abstract shape and pattern to create some bold pieces of artwork. I used a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create the logo and patterns, and InDesign to create the invitation and poster designs.

For this project, I decided to come into it with the mindset that I was creating a brand, keeping all design materials consistent yet creative. Using two colours I decided to create a variety of experimental patterns that would be used as an image. As I was representing graduate creatives from a creative school, I wanted to add as much flair and excitement wherever possible, instead of going down a more formal route, as it wouldn't be appropriate. I also had to remove my own style from the mix and create something that representative of everyone, not just myself. I am very happy with the outcome and the fact I also got to represent and design for the University I studied in.
